With the announcement that the Lutheran Church site in North Adelaide will be sold, many are wondering what will happen with the prized parcel of land.
Adelaide Mail can reveal that local billionaire squatter Con Makris, previous owner of the O’Connell Street LeCornu site, has swooped to ensure that ownership of the land will cede to his property group.
Makris has reportedly exploited a little-known piece of South Australian property law which states that Greek property developers sporting suspiciously thick bouffant hair shall be guaranteed first options to buy any North Adelaide church sites.
Speaking exclusively with Adelaide Mail, Makris stated ‘Have I got something in store for South Australians? You bet!’
‘It’s time to put my patented Makris spin on this here land. You loved what I did for O’Connell Street, so I give to you LeCornu’s Revival. Your new home for ramshackle fencing and complete and utter inaction for the next thirty years’.
‘And overgrown weeds? You betcha!’ continued Makris.
‘It’s nothing! Absolutely nothing. Which to be fair, it’s the only thing North Adelaide residents won’t complain about’.
