The Adelaide Giants accidentally gave us media passes so now we legally have to write about them

DAN SCHMIDT

Through what we can only assume is some sort of clerical error, our “newspaper” was given media passes to an Adelaide Giants baseball game.

Now, usually we would obviously just say nothing and hope nobody notices, but with the ACCC (Adelaide Content Corruption Committee) now cracking down on social media influencers not declaring gifts, we are now fulfilling our legal obligations and writing about it.

Look, we don’t know if we’re influencers or not, but the Magistrate keeps describing us as “under the influence” so that seems pretty close and it’s best to play it safe.

Anyway, the Adelaide Giants have made the Australian Baseball League Championship Series! And let’s just say it’s certainly no coincidence that they’ve made the championship series the same year they wore a jersey designed by us:

So really, making the ABL Championship Series is just as much our efforts as the team’s when you think about it.

The Giants will host Game 2 and 3 (if necessary) of the Championship Series. They will play Game 1 in Perth.

Let’s hope Perth take another huge L like this one:

So get on down to West Beach this weekend to see if Adelaide can break the 43 year drought and win the Claxton Shield against the Perth Heat.

Game Times:

Game 1 – Friday 3 February | 9:30PM – In Perth
Game 2 – Saturday 4 February | 7:00PM – At Dicolor Australia Stadium, West Beach
Game 3 – Sunday 5 February | 6:00PM – At Dicolor Australia Stadium, West Beach (only if series tied 1-1)

Ticket details here.

This hereby fulfils our obligation to the ACCC. Thanks for the tickets, Eric.

And for some extremely niche Adelaide Giants content that absolutely nobody listened to when we released it, get your ears around our episode of ‘Big Bunts’:
