Woman queuing for bus on Grenfell St clearly doesn’t know how a line works

Despite queuing multiple times every work day for a bus, it seems that how an orderly line actually functions is somewhat lost on Athelstone resident Ethel Stunne.

Although Ethel has mastered the art of joining the next spot in the forming queue, she is yet to understand the concept of letting those who have queued before her enter the bus first, but rather rushing to the nearest entrance door once the bus arrives.

Speaking with Ethel on Grenfell Street just before the 578 was due to arrive, she told us ‘Oh yes, I always line up it’s the polite thing to do. It annoys me when people don’t join the line. Very inconsiderate. Oh, anyway, here comes the bus, I must be off’.

Ethel then sprinted past the rest of the queue whilst maintaining speed with the rear bus door. As the door opened Ethel made sure to enter the bus before anyone inside could get off, as is tradition in Adelaide.
